International Journal of Gynecological Cancer turns a new page: See the first edition under the new Editorial team and publisher!

Dear Colleagues,
As a new era for our flagship journal begins with the Editor-in-Chief for 2019, Dr. Pedro Ramirez, and the new editorial team, many changes have been already undertaken for the International Journal of Gynecological Cancer (IJGC), including a newly selected publisher, updated design and article style as well as more compelling features.

New editorial features include the lead article podcasts, consensus statements, protocols for prospective clinical trials, and review articles that highlight and summarize the most up-to-date information in women’s cancer. Additionally, the journal will feature case studies focusing on expert opinions on management of complex clinical scenarios, high-quality educational videos and congress proceedings.

As of Jan 2019, IJGC is published by BMJ, a leading healthcare knowledge provider, and has joined its growing portfolio of specialist journals.

Starting with the first new issue on January 7, 2019, the journal has moved to the new BMJ website platform, without any changes to the journal access for our members.

We welcome everyone to explore the new journal website.

Dr. Pedro Ramirez stated recently that “IJGC is essential to the medical field and to gynecologic oncologists around the world, because it provides the latest research in the area of women’s cancer with a focus on highlighting the work being done not only in developed countries, but also in numerable centers in underserved regions of the world.”

We encourage all society members and authors to share their valuable research outcomes through IJGC and provide its readers with updated and important information through original articles, review articles, 5-8 minutes video articles, case studies, on-going clinical trials, etc.

The new instructions for authors can be viewed at and all new manuscripts are now submitted at the ScholarOne site at

On this occasion, we would also like to thank Dr. Uzi Beller and his editorial team for over 10 years of outstanding contribution devoted to the growth and development of the journal, and we also wish to thank Dr. Beller for his efforts to assure a smooth transition to the new Editorial team.

We wish Dr. Pedro Ramirez and the new editorial team a great success in their mission to further develop and make IJGC the best journal it can be.
